Minoan Crete[edit]

I removed the content about egg cups in Minoan Crete. There were two problems: Firstly, one of the given sources, the book by Pendlebury doesn't seem to mention any egg cups. (The other given reference for that paragraph was not reliable.) Secondly, matters are complicated because some drinking cups were nicknamed "egg cups" due to their shape (see here for an example). So unless there's an iron-clad source that clarifies that it really isn't talking about egg cup-shaped goblets, I rather doubt the name itself can be used to show that the objects in question were egg cups. Sources for unusual words[edit]

What dictionary, if any, would list the words "footie" and "mother" as defined here for egg-cups? Are they terms in real use? Equinox 18:20, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt the veracity of these unsourced assertions regarding nomenclature to the extent that I have removed them from the article. -- Picapica (talk) 13:06, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
