Certain details removed, others added[edit]

I removed some nonsense, added a couple of facts, and gave references. The recipe cited from the Talmud really does exist, so I didn't remove it, but clearly you couldn't make beer that way. I removed the claim that Egyptian beer was unfermented: what is unfermented beer? Anyway, the Greek name means "ferment", so the claim is unlikely to be true. I haven't found evidence that sisni is the Hebrew equivalent of zythos, so I've asked for a citation for that. Andrew Dalby 18:16, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
