Notability

I have removed the notability tag because I assess this article as notable for several reasons inter alia:

• Longevity: it has been running for over 40 years
• Famous founder: it was founded by Carl Bellingrodt, the German leading railway photographer of his era
• Distribution: it is sold nationally, so is well-known
• Circulation: 40,000 which is significant for a "niche" market
• Googlehits: "Eisenbahn Kurier" clocks up 135,000 googlehits. A crude measure, but indicative.
• Google books: 7,290 hits.

In sum it is one of the leading and most respected railway magazines in the German-speaking world. Definitely notable by Wiki standards. --Bermicourt (talk) 19:23, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

(You should know by now that googlehits are often irrelevant - see also pokemon ) If it as notable as you describe then it should be simple to demonstrate with reliable sources as per Wikipedia:Notability_(media)#Newspapers.2C_magazines_and_journals

Your claims that it is leading and most respected railway magazines in the German-speaking world are valueless as they are subjective, see WP:VERIFY. I don't doubt it is popular. As far as I can tell it is just another hobby magazine.

The article currently describes a long running, niche publication, but doesn't explain why there is an article on it..

Do yours only extend to adding tags to perfectly reasonable articles? The article needs further work, yes, but it is a translation from de.wiki, where there isn't yet a campaign to delete specialist magazine articles, and hasn't come across with the sort of refs we expect here. They also probably recognise its notability because you see it on sale everywhere whereas the English speaking world of course wouldn't. No - I do more than translations thanks. Keep up the good work.

I'd like to take a bet on anybody ever making the slightest improvment to this articel, or ever adding a reference - because - if you took the blinkers off - you'd realise it a 'trivial' magazine for 'trainspotters', completely un-notable outside that interest group - who - as well all know -are incapable of adding any encyclopedic content excluding there own pointless cruft.
