WP:CITIES assessment[edit]

The article is being re-assessed as 'start-class' from an initial assessment of B-class. The initial assessment was done several years ago, and I don't recall why it was rated as B-class. But I don't think it fits currently. The article as it stands now, is a good start towards collecting information, but most sections are very short, and mostly comprised of lists of information -- education, transportation, famous bits. There's also only four citations, so it really doesn't even qualify for C-class with that. I'd recommend taking a look at the WP:USCITY guideline. The article should start with a good introduction, followed by history, geography, demographics, and economy. A culture section should follow that. The article in its present state doesn't even follow that general format. Dr. Cash (talk) 16:40, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been expanded and resources have been added. I would say it's definitely C-Class right now, but it still has some issues. The article needs more resources. There is plenty of press related to the town; I just did a Google search and found lots of relevant material. Currently it relies a bit too heavily on the www.historicelizabethcity.org resource. It's a good resource, but the article needs others. The Coast Guard section is functioning as an economy section, though I think calling it "Economy" and expanding it would definitely be better. There isn't a "Notable residents" section either. Sports, Parks and recreation, and government sections would also help. Narthring (talkcontribs) 22:42, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing about Andrew Brown shooting?[edit]

I was coming to Wikipedia for a factual, cited article about the Andrew Brown police shooting. There's nothing. This is on national news, and has been all week. There's protests nationally. Where's the story?
