Edit requests to Introduction, and Awards sections[edit]

Hello, I am Susan and I work for CIT. I would like to request a few small edits to the introduction section and the Awards and honors section of the article, as follows:

  • In the first paragraph, the third sentence should be changed to: Alemany also leads the principal bank subsidiary, CIT Bank, N.A., as its Chairwoman, Chief Executive Officer and President.[1] As the source shows, she holds all three positions.
  • In the second paragraph, in the first sentence, please remove "Operation HOPE, Inc." because she is no longer on the board, and add "Dun & Bradstreet"[2] and "Catholic Charities of New York,[3]" whose boards she does sit on.
  • In the last sentence of the introduction, please replace that sentence and source with an updated version as follows: In 2020, Alemany was named by American Banker as one of the most powerful women in banking.[4]
  • In the Awards and honors section please add the following awards in chronological order
  • 2017 – American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking (#3)[5]
  • 2018 – American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking (#3)[6]
  • 2019 – Crain’s New York Business Notable Women in Banking[7]
  • 2019 – Women’s Bond Club Merit Award[8]
  • 2019 – The Center for Discovery honoree[9][10]
  • 2019 – American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking (#2)[11]
  • 2020 – American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking[12]
  • 2020 – Darla Moore School of Business Center for Executive Succession Leadership Legacy Award[13]
  • 2020 – American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking[14]
  • 2021 – Crain’s New York Business Notable Women on Wall Street[15]

I thank you and appreciate your help. Susan for CIT (talk) 13:43, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much Go4thProsper for your helpful edits to the Awards section. I wonder if you could implement the rest of my requested edits to the Introduction section, which are outlined above. The edits are simple updates to the article. Again, I appreciate your help. Susan for CIT (talk) 14:41, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again Go4thProsper for making the change. There are still two outstanding changes and I was hoping that you might take care of them? The remaining edits are those referred to in the first two bullet points of the request, relating to the first and second paragraphs and are simple updates to the article. Many thanks. Susan for CIT (talk) 15:30, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
These changes have now been made. Do you also have references for the unsourced material in the Career section? The article needs to be properly cited per WP:RS policy. Go4thProsper (talk) 10:10, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Go4thProsper: Have the above been implemented? Can I close the request? I can have a look at the others below if you wish. PK650 (talk) 22:51, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t know if all of the suggested edits have been implemented, but I have made all the edits I plan to make on this WP:BLP page. Go4thProsper (talk) 02:55, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Go4thProsper: Thank you. If you're not closing the request yourself, maybe note which requests you accepted or denied as a courtesy to other editors who otherwise have to go through the entire history to try and parse what was actually changed. A rationale is common practice as well. Cordially, PK650 (talk) 22:53, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi PK650. Thanks so much for jumping in to help with the rest of the edits. Yesterday I posted the following, but in the wrong place on the Talk page. I am sorry if this caused any inconvenience. I deleted my previous, incorrectly placed post and placed it now where I intended to be in the first place. I outlined what edit requests still need to be implemented below because I understand it can be a bit confusing trying to figure out what has already been done and what is left to do of the edits I have requested.
  • In the introduction, at the end of the first paragraph, please add: She sits on the boards of "Dun & Bradstreet"[1] and "Catholic Charities of New York,[2]
  • Also in the introduction the last sentence is not accurate the way it is written now, and it should say: In 2020, Alemany was named by American Banker as one of the most powerful women in banking.[3]
Everything else from this edit request (dated from 10 August) has been completed, and the edit request can be closed.
  • The following request from the section below (dated from 5 October) still has a few points that need to be implemented; namely the second, fifth and sixth bullet points. When those are done, and the edits from the section above are done, both edit requests can be closed.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate your help and apologize for any inconvenience I caused. Susan for CIT (talk) 15:58, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Partly done: Thank you for the request and the extended comments above. I finalized the two remaining requests in my own manner, and will be reviewing those below shortly. PK650 (talk) 03:03, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Any remaining part of this request is declined. Susan for CIT, please seek talk-page consensus with other editors before making any further request here, unless to address a major error or omission of verifiable fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:47, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Introduction, Early life, Career, and Awards and honors sections[edit]

Hi again. Thanks so much Go4thProsper for implementing my edit requests. I have a few more requests that I hope you can also implement.

  • In the first paragraph of the Introduction, please add the word "president" in the third sentence so it reads as follows: "...chair, CEO and president."[1] The new source confirms that she holds all three positions.
  • Please add the following to the end of the last sentence in the Early life section: "and in 2019 she received an honorary doctorate from Fordham University."[2]
  • In the Career section, after the first sentence please add: "In 1987, Alemany joined Citibank and held various positions including CEO for Global Transaction Services,[3] executive vice president for the Commercial Business Group, which includes CitiCapital,[4] the Commercial Markets Group and the Commercial Real Estate Group.[5] She also served as CitiCapital president and CEO.[5][6]"
  • Directly following the above additions please add the following to the paragraph: "Alemany joined RBS Americas as chairman and CEO in 2007.[7] In 2008, Alemany was named CEO of RBS Citizens Financial Group, and was appointed chairman and CEO in 2009.[8] She was also a member of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group's executive committee, RBS's nine-member executive leadership team.[9][10]"
  • At the end of the Career section, please add the following paragraph: "In 2021 she helped forge the merger of CIT with First Citizens Bank, creating a "Top 20" US bank, where she will serve as vice chairwoman and member of the board.[11][12][13]"
  • In the Awards and honors section, please add the following source to the line "2020—Darla Moore School of Business...[14]

Thanks for all your help. Susan for CIT (talk) 12:51, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: Hi Susan. I've implemented some of your requests, save items 1, 3, 4, and 6. The sources weren't reliable for 1 and 3; 4 seems to have been implemented already, and the last I deemed non-notable. Thanks! PK650 (talk) 23:50, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks PK650 for all your help. I just have one more small request, and that is to add the following to the "Other positions" section: "She is on the board of Dun & Bradstreet" with the following source: https://investor.dnb.com/governance/board-of-directors/default.aspx Thanks again for helping to make this a much more complete and updated article. Susan for CIT (talk) 14:24, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much PK650 for helping out with my edit requests. There is one more thing that is not accurate that should be changed. In the last sentence of the Career section, it should say " In 2021 she pushed forward a merger of CIT with First Citizens Bank, which when completed will create the nineteenth largest US bank, where it has been announced she will serve as vice chairwoman and member of the board." The merger is still in progress. Once again, thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. Susan for CIT (talk) 14:55, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
