Remarks[edit]

Current text is "On February 14, 2014, Page came out as gay in remarks at the Human Rights Campaign's "Time to Thrive" conference".

It wasn't a "remark" she made in passing, she was on stage giving an 8-minute speech about this, as linked in the refs. "in a speech at the Human Rights Campaign" would be the better wording.

E.g Variety says "In a speech at the Time to Thrive conference Friday, actress Ellen Page came out as gay." Ellen Page Comes Out as Gay 202.81.242.11 (talk) 14:55, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

it was not an 8 minute speech about her coming out as gay, - the speech itself, a good 7 and a half minutes of it, was a far more general speech about supporting LGBT youth with about two lines announcing her own orientation and 20 seconds of applause. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 15:32, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
I've changed "remarks" to "speech", as it did seem to be a formal speech as opposed to some off-the-cuff remark to a reporter or whatever. Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 04:33, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
