Sperner called his antichain result a "Satz", in the very title of his paper. It was not a lemma to anything. In contrast, the triangulation result was explicitly a lemma. If people today call his Satz a lemma, it's probably because they've heard "Sperner's lemma" mentioned. I really don't care if some people insist on calling his Satz his lemma, but since Wikipedia has both, we should follow the least ambiguous terminology.

As it is, I've never actually seen his Satz called his lemma before this. Can somebody provide a reference? I can cite several books and papers, all calling it "Sperner's theorem".--192.35.35.36 15:04, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)

In fact, I just noticed that the antichain link refers to Sperner family, which contains a proof of "Sperner's theorem". So Wikipedia is already using "Sperner's theorem".--192.35.35.36 15:28, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)
