Final paragraph[edit]

The final paragraph raises some interesting and important questions about the role of emmenagogues historically and in alternative medical models. However the critique requires some editing to improve the clarity of the alternative opinions expressed; preferably by the original writer.

For example it was disconcerting to find organ specific modern Western diagnoses such as PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) referenced in a discussion about Ayurvedic medicine and also confusing use of other abbreviations such as “bv” (sic) whose meaning may not be clear to all readers.
