Schooling[edit]

The ODNB gives Rhys's years boarding at Bishop's Stortford as 1866-8. That means that Bishop's Stortford College. a nonconformist boarding school, can't be meant, since it was founded in 1868.[1] Otherwise it would be plausible, since we can assume John Rees was a nonconformist, and Emma Rees being from nearby Hockerill could well have local knowledge.
