New image[edit]

Sorry, I think its best to revert to the other picture. What you show here is not actually exfoliation joints as this article refers to - rather a certain type of "exfoliation" related to (spheroid) granite weathering. Here we talk about large-scale joint systems in rock that have particular properties - e.g. curved and lensing form, spacing which increases with depth, etc. I feel that the original picture shows many of these forms well, as it gives a unique cross section through the upper meters of an exfoliation jointed rock mass.
