The last paragraph mentions ISI two times, but it's never spelled out. Please add the meaning of this acronym in parentheses at it's first occurrence. Thanks - kho — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.0.182.71 (talk) 11:47, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

TTL/CMOS interface?[edit]

"Laptops designed before 1996 and devices with smaller display resolutions often use a TTL or CMOS interface instead."

I'm removing this sentence from the introductory paragraph because it doesn't make any sense. TTL and CMOS are IC manufacturing techniques, not digital interfaces. I think what this may be getting at is prior interfaces were implemented at the native voltage levels of these technologies. Or perhaps it's referencing the colloquial term 'TTL serial' which would be more precisely described as Differential TTL. I'm not familiar with this history, but if anyone has some detail on this please do expand and add it back in the article. Walkersam (talk) 16:14, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article should say what notebook computers with an active-matrix LCD, such as the IBM ThinkPad 755CX from 1994 and IBM ThinkPad 755CD from 1995 that I still have, used before the introduction of FPD-Link in 1996. I also still have an IBM ThinkPad 760C from 1996 but I do not know if it uses FPD-Link. Brolin Empey 09:07, 1 January 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brolin Empey (talkcontribs)
