Source for Statistics[edit]

Are your threatened species statistics for India, Indian zoogeographic region or for the world. Your statements do not explicitly say so, leaving the implication that these are Indian spp only. Its a good thing to give the source directly below the statistics. Its a good technical writing practice. Your source details must also appear in the 'References' section.

Secondly, can you remake the species bar chart showing total species in world vs Indian species? The logarithmic scale gives a completely misguided picture to the unwary or uneducated reader. Better to have pie charts for each category of animals that=, you listed there. Bye,

This article is badly in need of attention. We need some structure similar to Fauna of Australia. Any takers ? Shyamal 13:12, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

New species[edit]

The statistics for Indian fauna are seriously out of Data. Find new data or remove the current one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 15:25, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
