[edit] Question

Could an admin please move Fianna Eireann to Fianna Éireann (the latter of which is currently a mistaken redirect)? And also, someone who is familiar with the needs to develop this article - it's very one-sided in its stubness. --Kwekubo 19:47, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Move is done. It seems logical that the accent on this article should match that already on Éire. Andrewa 21:35, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

The CIRA branch of Fianna Éireann has publically declared its links to Cumann na mBan and CIRA ([1]), and RSF has repeatedly established links with and support for Fianna Éireann ([2], [3], [4], [5]). --Kwekubo 21:14, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fianna

It's a valid cat as the RIRA has a wing of the Fianna, therefore it belongs.--Domer48 (talk) 16:54, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

This article is becoming ridiculously long and is almost totally without verification for statements made or citation. It is not up to the Wikipedia standard and needs to be edited.Coolavokig (talk) 12:40, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] "Na Fianna Éireann" (sic?)

I'm a native speaker of Scottish Gaelic, and in our language you just don't have "Na" before two words like this which are linked by a genitive. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong. I studied Irish a long time ago, and as far as I know, the grammar is the same there. Surely the group wasn't really called "Na Fianna Éireann"? "Fianna Na hÉireann" I can see, or just "Fianna Éireann" on its own, but "Na Fianna Éireann"?? Please tell me they didn't call themselves that. That's just English grammar with Gaelic vocabulary! Le gach deagh dhùrachd á Alba. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.44.110.91 (talk) 16:54, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
