This whole article has no facts or citations, just pure conjecture. I'm sure the conditions were as bad as you describe, however the specifics stated (such as the reference to the overseer whipping the slaves) are as if this was done at every plantation, when a reference to "punishment" should be made rather than a specific act such as whipping. Also your mention of field slaves living in huts with wooden floors, again, I'm sure this happened, however the entire article speaks as if this was the uniform way of doing things (almost like it were legislation). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.135.1.14 (talk) 03:55, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
