Move article to US Food and Drug Administration[edit]

I think a better title should be considered for the article, "Food and Drug Administration" sounds odd and US-centric. Notice that it was suggested before (see above) that the article should be moved to "United States Food and Drug Administration". I would vote for the more simple "US Food and Drug Administration". 90.184.5.10 (talk) 00:00, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

"Food and Drug Administration" is the actual name of the organization. There is no other organization with this name in any other country. Per WP:TITLE Wikipedia uses the actual name of things for the article title unless there is a reason to differentiate multiple items with the same name. History of the FDA[edit]

Can anyone offer a reason or explanation as to why the history presented in this article differs from the history found on the FDA's own website? (http://www.fda.gov/AboutFDA/WhatWeDo/History/default.htm) Jdevola (talk) 01:28, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Jdevola Anyone may copy any or all of that history into this article if it improves the Wikipedia article. Wikipedia will differ because the FDA's own history of itself is not the only perspective of the history of the FDA.

Whither neutrality?[edit]

There is general agreement in the literature that the FDA is an ineffective organization that represents business interests over the health and safety of the public. The segregated criticism section needs to be merged into the body of the article and the absolutely ridiculous Koch-funded primary sources claiming that the FDA is too tough on industry needs to be deleted. Moved content about regulation over food and dietary supplements[edit]

There was a section of this article about the Regulation of food and dietary supplements by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, but that concept has its own article, and the content here was being developed independently of that article. I moved content here to the talkpage there, and I hope that from there it can be integrated into that article. If anyone has comments about this, please bring them to Talk:Regulation of food and dietary supplements by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:09, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
