Against deletion -- strange that the proposal for deletion is not argued for here[edit]

I am strictly against deletion of this article. There are enough independent sources showing the notability of this product -- maybe not for the commercial companies which do produce competing products and want to suppress knowledge of the competition. Just google for "forte musical notation" and you find enough.

I myself do not use Forte, although I have a licence for the most basic version, but I am against the competion on the market for musical notation programs is fought out by deleting articles on the competion on Wikipedia.

So, I'll remove the "proposed deletion" macro.

While points may be valid removal of references while article at AfD is in general not best practice. Uh, no? The best practice at any time is to make sure our articles conform to our policies and guidelines. I am not taking a side on the point of the AFD--I'm not entirely familiar with the domain and the references there look Good Enough to keep the article. The content removed here was removed because it is a WP:NOT violation, and where not a violation of that policy, it violates WP:PRIMARY. --Izno (talk) 03:41, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've templated the affected section which hopefully is a reasonable interim compromise ... and I agree most of the external links can be removed which I am about to do ... The support is obvious from the official page and going to the site in english shouldn't be an issue for Germans using the English language Wikipedia. Thankyou. 06:29, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
In terms of the Versions section the accuracy of the table is not practically sustainable. I am minded a prose re-write giving the general feel of the variance of the versions is useful and a general mention of specialst hymn/version/educational/freeware versions is appropriate.Djm-leighpark (talk) 09:14, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is this Forte program related to the Midisoft software? If so, How?[edit]

Is this Forte program here related to the Midisoft software? And if so, how is it related?

Someone claimed that Lugert Verlag picked up the Midisoft software, and renamed it to Forte. Before that, that page claimed that it was owed by RecordLab, which, along with Midisoft, went belly-up. The founder or owner of Midisoft – if that is really Raymond Bily – that Midisoft (either the software or the company or both) was taken away from him via a "hostile" takeover.

Some quick google search has brough me up results which indicates this concern might, and I repeat might, be valid, in my opinion. I have used {{Disputed inline}} to bring the discussion here and to indicate a statement that was likely good faith but might ultimately be untrue as the prose has written. Thankyou.
