[edit] Labyrinth

Is it fair to say that Labyrinth "starred" David Bowie? Seems irrelevant anyway... 63.226.217.107 (talk) 06:26, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Picture

Think we can use this picture? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:MuppetShw.jpg —Preceding unsigned comment added by Khono (talkcontribs) 21:27, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] formatting

The chronological format seemed confusing. I have formatted and restructured the info into puppeteer, actor, and director. also added new detail. BarkingDoc

"Oz is best known for his work as a puppeteer performing with Jim Henson's Muppets." ... "Possibly Oz's most famous character is the diminutive Jedi Master Yoda"

^ Seems a bit strange, contradictory, etc. Am I misreading it? --24.76.141.132 05:28, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Accent

Is it just me, folks, or isn't it even Mr. Oz who speaks this Muppet in the 'EXIT' episode, or does he really have a foreign accent?

Grover definitely doesn't speak with a British, nor a Yankee or a Southern accent, he really sounds like an Arabian speaking English. As these are speculations of mine, I aren't yet going to put this into the article.

I don't like correcting grammar, but it's "I ain't", I aren't is a plural/singular mishmash. Carry on.--T. Anthony 11:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
"I amn't"? Keep on carrying on. Lindsay H. 18:05, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] source: trademarks

I added source tags on the page for the following line: "After Jim Henson's death, Frank put a reference to Jim in every movie he directs. He sees it as a tribute to Jim as well as a 'thank you' to him for making Frank a star." -- scarecroe 00:25, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I have a possible lead on a source for that quote. Should be coming soon. —scarecroe 16:35, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] source: Chocolate Factory

Regarding the "trivia" for Oz's involvement here, I've placed a "citation needed" tag for this info. IMDb is not a useful source as their information is frequently wrong and the data is not fact checked. In addition, I have serious doubts about the speculation on the performers. Not just because that sort of casting sounds more like a fan dream, but also because of the added line "and he [Frank Oz] as Miss Piggy would have voiced Grandma Georgina" which I've removed. —scarecroe 03:51, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] trivia

I cleaned up the Trivia section some. The information about his appearances in John Landis films is worth of it's own section. I'll leave that to someone who's more familiar with it. —scarecroe 16:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Birth mame

Is it "Frank Richard Oznowicz" or "Richard Frank Oznowicz"? This suggests it could be either one - [1] - is there a definitive source? Tell-Tale Ghost 21:54, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

I just checked a couple Henson biographies and couldn't find a source for either one. However, this interview cites "Richard Frank Oznowicz" as his birthname. I've never seen it cited with the middle and first names swapped. I would take an educated guess and say that whoever did, assumed that their source was mixed up and switched them considering his more famous stage name. But again, I've never seen it done that way, and I would trust the rather extensive Plume interview. —scarecroe 01:52, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Sounds reasonable. Tell-Tale Ghost 17:39, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

I believe Frank Oz also played the booking officer in the 1983 Eddie Murphy/Dan Akroyd film "Trading Places"...This is verifiable at mutiple movie sites... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.121.19.254 (talk) 22:30, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Oz's mother

I am not sure how much fighting Oz's mother did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.182.160.20 (talk) 17:34, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
