[edit] Contesting speedy deletion

While the URL cited by the Wikipedian that tagged it with copyvio is correct, the user that originally posted this article is an employee of the OCLC. I believe that user may have the power and desire to agree to license the contribution under the GFDL and have e-mailed them. --Oddharmonic 23:37, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

I changed this to a regular copyvio which can be found at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2006 August 3/Articles. If permission is actually being sought, move the entry from that copvio page to Wikipedia:Copyright problems/Poster claims permission.
To indicate that the copyright holder permits the use of this text under the GFDL, either:
  • Make a note on the source website that reuse of the text is permitted under the GFDL, and state here where we can find that note; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the source website, to permissions at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation.
You must revise it to be in an encyclopedic tone and follow the Wikipedia article layout. —Wknight94 (talk) 03:31, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
User Alicesneary has permission to post this material with a GNU Free License by power of Bob Murphy, OCLC Senior Public Affairs specialist. Alice Sneary is an employee of OCLC Online Computer Library Center. The Nylink page is actually using text originally developed by OCLC. I have e-mail permissions at wikimedia dot org, explaining the situation and attaching OCLC's official permission. --Alicesneary 17:10 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed change

I am considering making a change that would point out that the first office building on OCLC's campus is named after Kilgour. Are there any objections to this? SailorAlphaCentauri 17:27, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
