Educational institutions[edit]

Please provide proof of existence for these schools. You can link to their website if you wish, but please no links to commercial entities. If there is no proof of existence then they will probably be removed from the article at a later time until such proof is available. Thanks in advance. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 07:13, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There are over a thousand educational institutions in the district. A long list of them gives undue weight to their significance within the topic, and is unsuitable for an encyclopedia (see WP:NOTDIR). I have removed the primary and secondary schools, which are mostly unremarkable, retaining only those notable enough that they have Wikipedia articles of their own, or have been singled out in other encyclopedias. The education section now emphasizes the district's universities, masters level colleges, and honors level degree colleges. Lower level educational institutions, if treated at all, are best detailed in finer-grained settlement articles, such as those on the 30 or so unions into which the district is divided. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:08, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
