Redirect to Geodatabase[edit]

I created the article and redirected it to Geodatabase. I created the article because the term "geographical database" has meaning in the market. For example, it is used by the Geonames.org project and GeoDataSource to describe their products. They offer databases of countries, administrative divisions, cities, and related information. Such databases can be useful for websites that wish to identify the locations of their visitors for custimization purposes. I redirected Geographical database to Geodatabase because I inferred the two terms might be synonyms. However, I later googled "geodatabase" and did not come across the same sort of products I did with "geographical database". The term "geodatabase" seems to have been coined by Esri and has a slightly different meaning. Therefore, I will remove the redirect to Geodatabase, and write an article based on the information I gathered. I think the term "geographical database" merits its own article because it has meaning in the market. - The Aviv (talk) 20:19, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
