Member of the Scottish National Party? Are you sure??

Does "opposition spokesman" mean shadow minister? Or is it something different? john 04:26, 8 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Only very roughly. An opposition spokesman on something need not be in the shadow cabinet as a shadow minister, just as a governing party's spokesman on a subject need not be a minister. In practice, most opposition spokespeople will be shadow ministers, though. [Diarmid - 13 Oct 2005]

SNP[edit]

Given that his Lordship was only a member of the SNP between the ages of 16 and 17, it is inappropriate to list him as an "SNP politican"- therefore I have removed the applicable category from this page. Astrotrain 20:00, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm sure his lordship wishes to keep that one quiet. LOL! --MacRusgail (talk) 19:00, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
