Fleischmann's[edit]

I can't say whether it's a resort or not, but I do know there is a theater called Fleischmann's, in the town of the same name. Could it have been that her father owned that theater in the resort town/region of...? Anybody have a written biography of Berg? Abrazame (talk) 16:56, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

No, but I just saw the movie. It was certainly in the town; I don't remember the name of the resort. I'm editing the article to reflect the town. Carlo (talk) 17:16, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

University[edit]

There's no way she attended Columbia University. She probably attended Barnard. --Webbie1234 (talk) 17:25, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

True enough. It would be nice to have a source confirming it was Barnard. Carlo (talk) 17:30, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Online sources say she was enrolled is a "playwriting extension course." I wonder if that was a specific type of study that admitted girls. Everything I see online says "Columbia." Carlo (talk) 17:36, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
I changed it. I emailed Aviva Kempner, who did the movie, and got an email back from her that says, in its entirety, "It was a white lie. She did not attend Columbia. And please tell everyone to see the movie." I would like to know more details, but I think that's enough to remove the claim in question. Carlo (talk) 23:57, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

The Goldbergs movie[edit]

Someone should view and comment on the film. (I've seen it only once, on AMC.) It's startling, to say the least. Molly sticks her nose in places it doesn't belong and causes a lot of grief. The film ends on a very sour note, with the possibility her husband will lose his business because of her meddling. Gertrude Berg was not afraid to write a story that made the character she played look bad. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 23:24, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

What year did she cut a vinyl album?[edit]

I was hoping the Wikipedia article would have a discography in it. If it's there, I couldn't find it.

Does anybody know the year she cut the vinyl album, "How To Be a Jewish Mother"? How well did it sell? Is it now public domain? 216.99.201.124 (talk) 03:55, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

lost in the translation from Yiddish?[edit]
