End of this prohibition[edit]

Does anyone know the act that put an end to the prohibition created by this act? If so, please add. --George The Man (talk) 00:29, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is incorrect the production of gin was NOT made illegal!. The three main points of the act were --
  • prohibited gin distillers from selling to unlicensed merchants
  • restricted retail licenses to substantial property holders, and
  • charged high fees to those merchants eligible for retail licenses
