Possible link to Giuseppe Moscati's items on “Himetop – The History of medicine topographical database”[edit]

I suggest that somebody, interested in this page, could insert an external link to the following page describing, with pictures, some Giuseppe Moscati’s memories: http://himetop.wikidot.com/giuseppe-moscati

I don’t do it myself because I’m also an Administrator of this site (Himetop) and it could be a violation of the Wikipedia Conflict of Interest policy. Thanks for your attention.

"His scientific research notwithstanding"[edit]

"His scientific research notwithstanding, Moscati remained true to his faith his entire life." Another way of writing this could be "Despite his Catholic faith, he engaged in scientific research". I hope this indicates the problem I see in the text. If the word "notwithstanding" is meant to imply that there is an inherent contradiction between the Catholic faith and scientific research, it is not true, and an unnecessary provocation. If it is not meant to imply that, could the original writer find a way to state it to make his or her point more clearly without the other implication? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 14:00, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Biased. Tried to change. Point about "science" could just be rm. Student7 (talk) 18:43, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Good edit job.--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 04:33, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry to say this, but his canonization erased any acknowledge to his scientific research. More after the novel and TV film, which is heavily biased to his charity and miracles. And say nothing about original research work. Only something about the sanity measures taken for Cholera. The biography talks about his work on biochemistry, which one? if any. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2806:107E:C:9CF6:218:DEFF:FE2B:1215 (talk) 11:27, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of death?[edit]

Dr Moscati passed away at age 46 during what would seem to be a very ordinary day in his career. Nothing's presented about any bad habits or health problems. I'm thinking some contagious disease or environmental factor. Where should one look? Thanks. knoodelhed (talk) 15:50, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
