Mystery on Monster Island[edit]

Untitled[edit]

This film was aired as recently as June 2009, on Fox Movie Channel. Upon first viewing, I was so distracted by the deviations from "The Mysterious Island" it was unwatchable. Finding out, that it is instead was based on Godfrey Morgan, cleared that problem up, but the movie remained unwatchable due to being overlong, and poorly acted. But given the apparent ease of confusion between the title of this film and the better known novel, I felt it was prudent to add a section disputing. I have been privy to bad scholarship multiplying via the web, and strive to keep Wikipedia accurate and unbiased. K3vin (talk) 00:03, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title of Book[edit]

This book's english title is schizoid. First published in English in 1883, both in the USA and UK under two, very similar but different titles. Going with strict alphabetization, I chose the US Scribner's title. I hesitate to change the page title to the larger, since the subtitle may not warrant it. I cited the movie adaptation from an authoritative published source. as well as cited the above discrepance, so I removed the need citations tag. K3vin (talk) 02:00, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed the subtitle from "A California Mystery" to "A Californian Mystery". This variant is not only listed first (albeit somewhat ambiguously) with the external source you seem to have used, but is also much more prevalent elsewhere (including at Project Gutenberg, which is referred to as an external link). — Poga — (talk) 11:54, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
