Page Upgraded[edit]

This page was originally part of the Wikipedia Disambiguation Project and has been upgraded to an article. All the original disambiguation links have been preserved in the 'see also' section of the page. I tried to maintain integrity by posting only valid links, but less than 24 hours following the upgrade of the page a mysterious Wikipedia Editor came in as a ghost user Andromeda62 and made unverifiable edits. It will be up to an administrator to protect or remove the bad links posted by this person. I have this page on my watchlist and will do my best to keep improving it. Bare list turned into paragraph[edit]

After User:Problemsmith reverted my removal of the list of organisations with goodwill ambassadors, I changed it from a list into a paragraph, and merged it with the previous paragraph, whose content it was largely duplicating. Most Nations ?[edit]

Most governments and kingdoms (jurisdictions) have ambassadors of goodwill that are either appointed or known implicitly which promote the objectives and values of a country, nation, state, government or monarchy without promoting political agendas or any official state business.

.Apart from the whole idea being nauseatingly twee, and to be frank, just American goofiness; I have never heard of 'most' countries having these creatures, let alone my own [ Great Britain ]. They simply seem a reward to elder celebs to act out as public mascots on the international stage without real responsibility or any consequence. I doubt if most people in the world know who they are, let alone whatever they assume to represent.

A dancing endorser for a used car salesmens' association would have equal gravitas: I just hope they get paid.
