This article's point is purely rather humdrum (somewhat fearful?) and inaccurate ad-hominem rather than content related to the topic. For instance engaging half a braincell and looking at any chart can show you that the ridiculous argument in the rider without supporting link or quite :

"Although the Greening Earth Society is generally skeptical of climate change, it appears to endorse some degree of global warming as real: "Fact #1. The rate of global warming during the past several decades has been about 0.18ºC per decade". [6] However, this statement understates actual warming by a factor of about two, according to a report in the Journal of Climate which claims Earth has been warming at 0.25 °C per decade since 1979.[7]"

Temperature change is not linear. Climate change in general is something that happens with or without man and has had dramatic upswing from the period between 1979 and 1997, has remained relatively steady since, as no full timeframe is given for how many decades they're saying then their report is likely accurate, in fact looking at the temperature record for before 79 the temprature was in fact going down and people were worried we were heading into the next ice age. So I'm going to edit this to not be so blatantly biased. Also they are skeptical of man made global climate change, skepticism of climate change would be akin to skepticism of tides, and the lack of clarity in differentiating this description there is obviously used to try and engender this view of these people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by someone (talkcontribs)

Thank you for declaring your biases. Unfortunately you've let them creep into your version. Looking at the revert war [1] I don't think either version is acceptable. 0.25 is not twice 0.18. Nor is "of course" useable wrt the GES views on climate change. Nor is it at all clear what "mass" GW might be William M. Connolley (talk) 08:21, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
