I'm not sure whether the Pacific Island flavour of Grey Lynn has diminished that greatly- most homes owned by Pasifika have been retained through the generations

does not seem to be supported by any reference (or based on my observations of the suburb, actual facts). I think the first sentence may or may not be true - Auckland Central certainly has a Labour MP, whether that means the majority of GRey Lynn residents vote Labour is an accurate representation I dont know, the second is speculation and the third is just not supported. It would be possible to get an overall picture of how the suburb votes from the individual polling booths - see [1]. Voters are not required to use the polling booth closest to their house, so the voters at each booth are not solely the voters who live in the area, but there would be a high correlation. To improve the accuracy, earlier election results could be analysed in the same way.

However, the relevance of this to the article is minimal, and as you say the rest of the paragraph is speculative, so I support removal of the material.-gadfium 21:38, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
