Two faults I see after creating this, it's at risk of becoming a mini tutorial, eg:- I had the following but removed it.

Sparks will be inevitable when using a grinding dresser, but the object of the exercise is to create dust (old abrasive particles) not to produce sparks (resulting in rapid wear on the dressing tool) which takes some of the edge off, but as for the remainder?

It also duplicates material I put in grinding wheels. — Comments?

For the record, the following was moved from the first revision of bench grinder

Wood should never be ground on a wheel, as it can clog it up and cause the wheel to burst, with painful results.
