"The"?[edit]

Most sources refer consistently to the building as "the Piece Hall", not using "The" except at start of a sentence. So the correct Wikipedia article title is Piece Hall, but the word "the" should be used in the text. A recent series of edits removed "the" throughout, referring to the building simply as "Piece Hall".

  1. BBC confirms "the" or "The" but only used at sentence starts
  2. BBC "the Piece Hall"
  3. BBC "the Piece Hall"
  4. Calderdale council "the Piece Hall"
  5. NHLE listing "the Piece Hall"
  6. Yorkshire Post inconsistent, uses both "Piece Hall" and "the Piece Hall"
  7. "The Piece Hall" website consistently uses "The Piece Hall"

I have replaced "the" where it was recently removed. Please do not remove it again without discussion and consensus here. PamD 07:39, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
