Name of article should be changed[edit]

The name of this article should actually be "Harbor Island, San Diego, California" in keeping with all other articles about neighborhoods in San Diego. --MelanieN (talk) 14:11, 22 September 2009 (UTC)MelanieN[reply]

The result of the move request was: boldy closing and moving discussion here as this affects many, many articles. I'll inform everyone that has commented so far. Dpmuk (talk) 15:14, 23 September 2009 (UTC) ~~~~[reply]

Harbor Island, San DiegoHarbor Island, San Diego, California — All other articles about neighborhoods in San Diego follow this format, such as "La Jolla, San Diego, California" and "Point Loma, San Diego, California" MelanieN (talk) 14:17, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Move the others, as unnecessary disambiguation (unless there is another Point Loma in a different San Diego, which I seriously doubt). Septentrionalis PMAnderson 17:26, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Then you would be re-naming about 90 neighborhoods that are named according to the pattern "XXX, San Diego, California." See the category "Neighborhoods in San Diego, California". --MelanieN (talk) 20:20, 22 September 2009 (UTC)MelanieN[reply]
Yes. I don't see why these cumbersome titles were adopted in the first place; what good do they do to the encyclopedia? Septentrionalis PMAnderson 00:56, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Favor. Routine change in keeping with the naming of nearby localities. Student7 (talk) 22:07, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Other California cities for comparison: see category "Neighborhoods in San Francisco, California" and category "Neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California". --MelanieN (talk) 23:26, 22 September 2009 (UTC)MelanieN[reply]
