I edited a few things on this page.

1. I added group 6.3 (PGIII) poisons. 2. I replaced "flash powders" with "display fireworks" for explosive class 1.3. Flash powder is actually classified as a 1.1 explosive. 3. I replaced "hydrogen cyanide" with "potassium cyanide" and "mercuric chloride" for poison class 6.1. Hydrogen Cyanide is actually classified as a 2.3 compressed (poison) gas.

It looks like someone decided about 10 April that most of the material in this article did not belong. Comments? Should I restore the longer version?

It seemed to me that a major part of what had been here was specific to transportation of hazardous materials and perhaps belonged in a separate article, or merged with similar material in the Dangerous Goods article. Pzavon 01:51, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Material are synonymous. The term "Dangerous Goods" is used internationally and the term "Hazardous Material" or "HazMat" is used in the United States. Therefore, only one Wiki page covering Dangerous Goods / Hazardous Materials should exist. Manu 01:06, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

That seems reasonable given the current contents of the page however as I got to this from a link to "hazardous chemicals" which is not the same topic there needs to be a replacement for this page with those details Patricksears 15:45, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Good point... When the Hazardous Material and Dangerous Goods pages are merged, the hazmat page should not be deleted but rather tagged as a stub for hazardous chemicals (not sure how this can be done, but I guess we'll learn!) Is this appropriate? Manu 22:57, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

If these two ARE in fact merged, my question is this "If they are merged together, could I bring up the website and type in Hazardous Materials and still get this? Or would I HAVE to type in Dangerous Goods?" --FJBMinor 16:39, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Well I guess one or both of them should become a redirect, the article starting maybe like Dangerous Goods (BE) or Hazardous Materials (AE) are ... -- 790 19:37, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
