COI tag[edit]

In light of Emap's blatant COI editorial, via their outsourced portal at Advance 365, I have added a COI tag. Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 15:19, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NHS[edit]

Moved here from my talkpage. -- DeFacto (talk). 15:44, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NHS England is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health and Social Care.Rathfelder (talk) 13:06, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Rathfelder:, I'm not sure why you put this on my talkpage, or why you were telling me that. -- DeFacto (talk). 15:45, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Journal coverage[edit]

Since devolution it has not covered the NHS outside England in any systematic fashion. Rathfelder (talk) 09:29, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Rathfelder: do you know if there are similar journals covering the other three health services? -- DeFacto (talk). 09:37, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not as far as I know. The other 3 are not big enough to sustain the coverage. Besides the people who run them all kn ow each other and meet frequently. The HSJ does have entries to its competitions from the others, but that is as far as it goes. Rathfelder (talk) 09:40, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rathfelder: The two sources contradict the introduction paragraph and limits the target demographic of the journal. Both sources demonstrate the journal is not limited to NHS England and to not acknowledge it would require an explanation. Can you cite references for your edit? It would be easier for this to be resolved on this talk page, thank you. -- Erzan (talk). 05:55, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Neither source is authoritative. If you look at the HSJ site itself, there is no helpful statement on coverage. However, if you look at the three sections under 'HSJ local', you'll see that the Commissioners, Providers and Regions items on the menu only list English entities. https://www.hsj.co.uk/hsj-local. As a subscriber to HSJ, I can confirm empirically that it covers England only. Millstream3 (talk) 08:28, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That seems conclusive to me then. -- DeFacto (talk). 08:43, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
