Free Choice Amendment[edit]

The Free Choice Amendment is not the same thing as the Healthy Americans Act. The Free Choice Amendment is an amendment to Max Baucus's Healthy Future Act. The Healthy Americans Act is it's own stand-alone piece of legislation. I just took out in the article where someone said they were the same. But, they also manage to put a redirect for the Free Choice Amendment wikipedia page to this Healthy Americans Act page. I would delete that redirect, but I don't know how. Hearings?[edit]

To my knowledge, no hearings have ever been held on (S. 334) Healthy Americans Act. Which goes to the heart of the reportage by David Brooks cited in the "Senate committee alternatives" section. Elsewhere, can't put my finger on it now, I've read that Senator Baucus, the committee chairman, is hostile to HAA and snapped at Sen. Wyden in open meeting sometime in late May or early June, "We're not talking about the Healthy Americans Act."

In any case, it would be handy to have as a reference, a single-stop where the progress on all these bills is tracked.

For example, from the Wiki article on HR 3200, I see that bill has been voted out of three committees already: House Energy and Commerce; House Committee on Ways and Means; and House Committee on Education and Labor. But where does it go next? A full House vote? If so, when? Anybody know of such a source for ALL the health bills? Un Mundo (talk) 19:30, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sections and Related articles on Current Debate in desperate need of overhaul[edit]

I have added this note to all major articles related to the current healthcare reform debate.

As the information in the articles such as this dealing with specific proposals are more up to date, the information should be added to the comprehensive articles, and in general all articles related to the current healthcare debate need to complement each other.

The comprehensive articles on the current healthcare debate desperately need to be overhauled and expanded. There is practically nothing in those articles about the ongoing major events around the current debate, a subject area that is absolutely required.

I recently created a WikiProject page to gather and discuss the overhaul effort: Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Current Health Care Reform in the United States

Please discuss anything not pertaining specifically to this article on the WikiProject talk page.

NPOV[edit]

Are Congressional 'findings' really pertinent to this article? They also aren't NPOV. I'm going to blank them out as unrelated. 174.62.68.53 (talk) 04:30, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
