Did he really exist?[edit]

I'm not sure this person ever existed. All references seem to lead to a late 20th century work of fiction. There are no hits on academic databases like JSTOR nor in Google Books, nor on Lexis Nexis. Anyone have any real bonified sources for this one? I hope he really lived, he sounds like a fascinating individual. Vincent pearse (talk) 14:50, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
