I recall reading in Russell's works somewhere that Harvard had given Sheffer a tenured position on the strength of the stroke notation discussed in this article. Sheffer then put his feet up and never again did anything of significance in logic and philosophy. Tex 19:44, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
