This article is a parallel duplicate of Empire of Brazil, which has a title consonant with the other phases of the History of Brazil, which comprises condensed summaries of each of its sub-articles, woven into a single narrative. --Wetman (talk) 05:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What do you plan to do with the other article, that is, the Empire of Brazil article? Will there be one article for the Empire of Brazil and another only for its history? How is that to be, given that the Empire of Brazil no longer exists, and belongs to history? On the other hand, if you plan to delete the Empire of Brazil article (after all, why would there exist two parallel articles if one is the duplicate of the other?), I suggest that the flag, coat of arms and map should be copied or moved to this new History of the Empire of Brazil article. Please note that in prior phases of Brazilian history (Brazil as a Colony and Brazil as a part of a United Kingdom), the articles on Colonial Brazil and on the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarves (an article that pertains not only to the history of Brazil but also to the history of Portugal), maps, flags and coats of arms are displayed to the side of the introduction. --Antonio Basto (talk) 00:49, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
On the other hand, if this article is going to be a separate article vis-à-vis the History of the Empire of Brazil article (which seems to be the case, according to the comments on Empire of Brazil's talk page; the Empire of Brazil article being a more general article and this an specific article about historical milestones), shouldn't this article have an introduction and, more importantly, shouldn't it have a link connecting it to the Empire of Brazil main article? Nowhere is such link found in this article.--Antonio Basto (talk) 00:56, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit[edit]

The article is tagged for copyedit but I see that there is probably not much point at the moment if it may be about to change significantly. I will remove the tag and you can of course replace it if you wish to have a polish after you've finished doing what you're doing... Brickie (talk) 16:16, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
