Date link removal[edit]

The removal of date links is not acceptable.

a.

The Arbitration Committee has ruled that editors should not change an article from one guideline-defined style to another without a substantial reason unrelated to mere choice of style, and that revert-warring over optional styles is unacceptable

It is no longer recommended to link dates purely for the purpose of autoformatting.[7] Dates should only be linked when they are germane and topical to the subject, as discussed at Wikipedia:Linking#Chronological items. (remark number 7 tells when this was decided and re-decided

Month-and-day articles (e.g. February 24 and 10 July) should not be linked unless their content is relevant and appropriate to the subject. Such links should share an important connection with that subject other than that the events occurred on the same date.

Year articles (e.g. 1795, 1955, 2007) should not be linked unless they contain information that is germane and topical to the subject matter—that is, the events in the year article should share an important connection other than merely that they occurred in the same year. And the "important connection"(s) is(are): holocaust, wwii, the Nazi regime, Jews of Galicia . Each date also pertains to the wwii timeline (which I am working on to update as well).
