What happened to the "kings of Picts"? Was that a hoax, or did they belong to Loairn? Did they belomg to Moray dynasty in any meaningful way? Marrtel 23:57, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They were added long ago in good faith, but they are not verifiable, and I don't know the provenance of the list. There are kings of the Picts tied to the Cenél Comgaill, and to the Eóganachta, but none who are known to be linked to the Cenél Loairn. Angus McLellan(Talk) 00:02, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
somewhere they are called "of Lorne". What dies it signify? One of them is somehow attributed as son of a cenel loairn - if others descend from him or his right relations, they also are. I don't know, but they aren't called that any more as I have performed a cleanup on late Pictish kings. As for the supposed son(s) of Feredach mac Selbaig, Ciniod, and (my original join-the-dots research here) Alpín, John Bannerman did indeed suggest that link. However, a read through the article on the carnifex tyrannus should leave the impression that the fate of the sons of Selbach was unlikely to be a happy one after their capture.
