Cleanup[edit]

It should be painfully obvious to anyone reading it, but the article has never been spellchecked or proofread and is in dire need of it. Could anyone responsible for contributing to this article please clean it up? Canonblack 23:57, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't write the original article but I've hammered the wayward grammar into better shape, I hope. ;-) ...EDIT: Chronology of the 1990s section seems a little out of order, given that Chaykin's scripting duties on "The Flash" TV series (1990) preceded his Malibu Comics title, Power And Glory (1993-94). The article also doesn't mention his Cyberella work (1995?) -- see Wikipedia's Helix_(comics) entry. ~ [User: Not logged in. 12:38, April 11, 2006.]

Cody Starbuck[edit]

RE: American Flagg! Relaunch[edit]

It's probably a minor point that only I care about, but is it worth mentioning in the article that Chaykin fought for the second American Flagg! series to begin with #1? Per Rick Oliver's First Notes column , First's editorial director at the time, First wanted to keep the original numbering and label Amerikan Flagg! #51 and the delay between American #50 and Amerikan #1 was due to Chaykin not wanting to go forward with the project unless he could "start over" to distance the second series from the original. I think it goes to show he cares a bit more about his creations than some other creators might, butting heads with his publisher over what many would surely consider a trivial point. 64.222.94.132 (talk) 20:07, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars adaption[edit]

Monark Starstalker[edit]

Monark Starstalker is a fictional Marvel character and is a bounty hunter. The character was first featured in Marvel Premiere (October-Number 32)1976) and was created by Howard Chaykin,somewhat based upon previous character,such as Ironwolf and Cody Starbuck.

I undid this recent addition. I'm not saying it doesn't belong in the article, but it certainly doesn't fit where Mavericstud9 (talk · contribs) put it. —Tamfang (talk) 06:51, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Missing stories and story order[edit]

I've been adding some of the Cheykin stories this article missed, and I note that the DC titles are alphabetical while the Marvel titles are chronological. I really don't care which order is used, but it should be consistent. Does anyone have a preference? Rick Norwood (talk) 19:48, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I mentioned that for World of Krypton, Chaykin did only the art (Paul Kupperberg did the script). It was reverted as "unnecessary" and yet other entries in the same list mention whether Chaykin did only the script or both script and art. Why not in this case?
