It seems that much of this article is a exact copy and paste of information at Hollow (Bleach). --Pentasyllabic 02:01, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think we need this article at all, but since it was created, I'll work on it and hopefully improve it. That will of course involve removing most of the info, especially the info that was C&P`ed. -- Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 19:01, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know why it was moved to Hueco Mundo (Bleach), but we don't need the (Bleach) suffix if the original article doesn't exist. -- Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 11:55, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Moved. Gflores Talk 18:16, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing wrong with the phrase "Hueco Mundo" in Spanish. If you aren't fluent or well-educated in Spanish please refrain from making unsupported assertions about it. -- Roy W. Wright

I have changed the part about the dome with sunlight in Las Noches. Given that Aroniero was only pretending to be Kaien at the time, there is no real validity about the sunlight, though it is most likely correct, as hinted by Kaien in chapter 267. However, I have just added that he may not have been entirely truthful, for the sake of escaping the sunlight.N Dot W 09:32, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Im actually Ecuadorian, it doesnt really sound bad or anything but "Hueco" means hole... it doesnt literally mean empty though hole could be taken to have that connotation. That could be pointed out... for accuracy.

Fixed, thanks for pointing it out, I'm not sure who added that. Heuco Mundo seems to be meant in the literal sense of a world of/for hollows. --tjstrf talk 04:54, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As a native Puerto Rican AND a translator, I can tell you that "Hueco" can indeed mean "hollow"; however, In Spanish the adjectives usually follow the noun, so "Hueco Mundo" means "World Hollow" rather than "Hollow World". Likely, the original name was meant to be Hollow World (or "World of the Hollows") and there was an error during naming. -Wilfredo Martinez 16:38, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not necessarily; after all, "un gran hombre" doesn't mean "a man great." It is perfectly acceptable to say, for example "verde césped" or "rica comida" in Spanish. There's no reason to assume that "Hueco Mundo" was a mistake. --Roy W. Wright

Yes, there are exceptions- mostly poetic license ones- but it's fairly safe to say that here, the intention was to use the term to refer to the "World of the Hollows" rather than to "a Hollow World." -Wilfredo Martinez 13:01, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
1. It's called Human world, not "living" world. See Bleach (manga).
2. Using Garganta, Hollows can travel to the Soul Society too. Look at the end of the Soul Society Arc.
3. Everyone else must use specialized gates to enter Hueco Mundo (or Soul Society).
4. ONLY in the anime hollows can create other hollows. Worth mentioning, since it makes no sense.
5. Las Noches was the fortress of the arrancar army even before Aizen.

Hueco Mundo Change?

[edit]

Why in the beginning of the anime, is Hueco mundo depicted as being in the day-time, with tall horizontal mountains and growing shadows, but later, as a sandy night-time place with quartz trees? I don't think this was ever explained in the anime, and I doubt the manga. It was probably just a bad plot setup, where they realized they should change it to make it more ineresting when Ichigo and everyone went there. Does anyone know if there are any explanations? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.22.173.22 (talk) 21:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The original Hueco Mundo was entirely an anime creation. When the manga finally got around to depicting Hueco Mundo, the anime abandoned its original design in favor of Kubo's design. Alternatively, to avoid plot holes, you could say the mountains are found in a different part of Hueco Mundo. ~SnapperTo 22:02, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh ok I see. I didn't realize it was an anime creation. that makes more sense now.

Any merging going on here?

[edit]

Per the recent Afd (actually almost two months old now), we're supposed to merge this article into the main article. I don't really see any discussion about that here. Is the idea that everything needed is all ready merged? And what happens to this article - I would presume that it would become a redirect, but I'm a little confused that we're not talking about it. Any thoughts? Same comment left on the Soul Society page. Xymmax (talk) 19:45, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
