Proposed merge with Ice Cream Cake (song)[edit]

I think it would be better if these articles were merged. Almost everything in the song article is already in the album article, and what isn't can easily be included there. I doubt there is enough in-depth coverage to justify having two separate articles. It would be different if there was a lot of coverage and lots of reviews of both the song and album from reliable sources. There shouldn't be this much overlap between two articles, and I also think it would read better if all the information was in one article. Random86 (talk) 06:56, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

<New Idea> I think it would be better if the two articles will be separated. This is because Ice Cream Cake is a song while Ice Cream Cake (album) is a mini-album, thus having two different ideas. The article for the song will also show the important facts (ex: song producers, song makers). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.60.156.177 (talk) 01:33, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • There is really no point in having 2 almost-identical articles. If there is enough in-depth information, there would not be an objection to separate them; but the majority of Kpop albums/songs never get that kind of in-depth coverage. Most of the published information is only for "PR-ed" purposes.--TerryAlex (talk) 02:51, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with TerryAlex, there is nothing substantially different between the articles Asdklf; (talk) 03:11, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also support merging, as there is no evidence this song is one of the few that merits a standalone article per WP:SONGS. As already pointed-out, the song and album articles are nearly identical. Shinyang-i (talk) 06:31, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • In addition to the merge, the title of the article is problematic, as it should be Ice Cream Cake (EP), as it is incredibly confusing between the Ice cream cake article and it can't just be differentiated by capital letters. Azuxingmitalk 21:56, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • So should we go ahead and perform the merge? Asdklf; (talk) 20:09, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes, I think there is consensus to merge. I can do it later today but feel free to do it now. Random86 (talk) 21:26, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • No you go ahead, I always forget at least one step Asdklf; (talk) 22:38, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
