"During the Cold War"[edit]

From examining the edit history, it is clear that some individuals (most likely the same one or two people editing anonymously from both dynamically-changing home IP addresses and their school's IP) are intent on adding information to the main article on how they rile the school's science technician by chanting "During the Cold War" when he enters a classroom.

To the person or people who keep clumsily adding this information to the article, please read the official guidelines "What Wikipedia is not", "No original research", "Notability", and above all "Wikipedia is not for things made up in school one day". The antics of half a dozen schoolchildren calling themselves the "Pan Man Clan" is of no interest to the rest of the world, and probably very little interest to a lot of other people within the school itself. This sort of thing, which appears to be little more than an in-joke shared by a few students at a small school, and which will probably be forgotten as soon as the parties involved leave that school, is not the kind of information belongs on Wikipedia. Unless you can provide verifiable information that this is a long-standing meme at the school (along the lines of Eton's range of slang and traditions, for example), please do not continue to re-add this information to the article. Between-friends jokes, no matter how much detail you describe them in, are best kept for your LiveJournals and MySpaces, not a public encyclopedia. --217.65.149.50 11:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AN EX STUDENTS COMMENTS

This paragraph has been removed as it adds nothing to the encyclopedic nature of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a website for advertising. The quote was not referenced and a positive remark about a school has no more place on here than a negative comment.
