Since when is imipenem called Gorill-icillin? We use it everyday and I have never heard of that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maejmk20 (talkcontribs) 17:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Sounds like a joke. In my hospital we called it Domestos for its wide antimicrobial spectrum. JFW | T@lk 21:17, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Review

http://jac.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/58/5/916 - 20 years of imipenem. JFW | T@lk 21:17, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

This article says "Imipenem is a strong inhibitor of beta-lactamases from some gram-negative bacteria that are resistant to most beta-lactam antibiotics", however, the article about Cefoxitin (which redirectecs here) says "Cefoxitin is considered a strong beta-lactamase inducer, as are certain other antibiotics (such as imipenem)".

Both cannot be true.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.3.234.5 (talk) 15:23, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
