One-sided, simplistic history[edit]

This article ends by throwing it's hands up, as to why Hastings was impeached in the first place. That in itself shows how derelict it is. It quotes staunch supporters of Hastings as if they lack any interest in his acquittal, despite their service in the East India Company. Burke's complex arguments are ignored. The treatment of Indians is treated as a "he said, she said" issue, when facts exist. In fact, it's a disgrace to Indians, with it's tacit approval of the means necessary to establish British rule. A bad article that should be rewritten. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.80.117.214 (talk) 07:15, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutism[edit]

Did Warren Hastings practice absolutism? 2601:47:4084:C9F0:D4D1:BFA9:AB42:ED68 (talk) 02:20, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
