Merge with Kang the Conqueror and Immortus[edit]

Hi there, I don't think this page should be merged with Kang's page. Iron Lad is being treated as a separate character, with a personality and motives quite different from his temporal successor. Joeyconnick 07:35, August 2, 2005 (UTC)

I, on the other hand, believe none of the Young Avengers members deserves to have their own page, and should be merged to the Young Avengers main article. -- Pc13 10:21, August 2, 2005 (UTC)

I think all of the Young Avengers should have their own individual articles. Though they haven't done a whole lot as of yet, they will. The pages will grow, and that is what Wikipedia is all about! As for Iron Lad being merged with Kang... No... Definately not.

This article should be merged with the Young Avengers article. Not enough information is available about each member. They should recieve individual articles when more about them is established in the comics.

First of all, almost all of you need to sign your comments. Anyway, I disagree with merging Iron Lad into Kang or any of the other members into the main NA artice. --DrBat 18:45, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Count me as a YES vote for the Merge. The issue here isn't "does he act/is he treated like a new character" its "what is the wikipedia standard". Every example I can find (including every one of the characters in the Ultimate Universe) includes "alternate timeline" versions in the main characters article. Further, Immortus is included in the Kang article and he's essentially the same thing as Iron Lad (just older instead of younger). Also, on the "these articles will continue to grow" reasoning, that may well not be true for Iron Lad which is yet another reason to merge. So, for all those reasons, I say Yes to the merge - Tom22
I actually think Immortus should have his own article. He, too, is more of a character than 'an alternate version of Kang'. --DrBat 11:05, 22 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Throw me in with the YES catagory, same goes for Immortus and other incarnations of Kang (not counting his sons or non-Richards Kangs). It's been long established that there is only one "Kang" left. He killed or merged with all the others, and any new timelines he creates do not include new versions of himself. His encounter with the psyche-globe and Immortus' involvement with the Forever Crystal seems to have ensured that. As a result, any Kang or Immortus we see that is Richards under the armor is the same man at different points in time. Thanks to the story in Young Avengers, we now know they all started out as Iron Lad. Basically, it'd be simplier to present it as one person and just cover his life chronologically (from his point of view). Iron Lad -> Rama Tut -> Scarlet Centurion -> Kang -> Immortus. - Kevingarcia 05:54, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Immortus, Kang the Conqueror, and Iron Lad are all the same person. jokauff 21:40 7 June, 2006 (UTC)

Do Not Merge Either One The 3 characters, plus Rama Tut and anyone/anything else Nathaniel Richards may have been or may become, have been treated as unique characters. We have seen that the "current" Kang does not become Immortus, although that's subject to retcon at any moment. There have also been some hints that Iron Lad may have his own path to follow. Until some of this is reconciled -- and I don't think it ever will -- I say treat them as characters worthy of separate articles. (As for Wikipedia standards, how about casting votes in the standard way?) --Joe Sewell 22:04, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Iron Lad's memory wipe[edit]

Hi. I was thumbing through Volume 1: Sidekicks of the Young Avengers and it seems as if Iron lad's memory of his time in the past wasn't erased by Wiccan, under the codenmae of Asgardian at the time. Instead, as Wiccan was trying to erase Iron Lad's memory, Iron Lad became angry at Wiccan for trying to make him go back to the future, and thus become Kang the Congueror, and punched Wiccan before he could complete his spell. This shows that Iron Lad's memory wasn't erased. This fact is further supported by Iron lad's last farewell before he goes back to his original place in time. He says something along the lines of having the most fun of his life as a Young Avenger, and then, the very second he finishes speaking, he walks through the Vision's time portal to go back to his original place in time. If Iron Lad's mind was wiped, why did his last words contain information on the Young Avengers, something he shouldn't have remembered. Can anyone shed any light on this subject? 74.225.213.176 00:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No Publication History!?[edit]

This article has no information on the character's publication history. It should be added to the article to give it more scope since this article only has the character's fictional biography and a list of his powers and abilities.--Paleface Jack (talk) 15:43, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
