good work!

I think this is a joke[edit]

Is this guy relly a legtimate philosopher? I think this article should be deleted. His homepage http://moslekfozo.atw.hu/ and google hits suggest, this is some overactive bored dude, who registered on a bunch of community sites, and upploaded a few youtube videos. The article has no independent sources, but a link to a forum topic! This is a f...ng joke, correct me if I'm wrong. I he wanted to create this article on the Hungarian Wikipedia ot would be deleted in a second. Villy (talk) 17:36, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

I agree with Villy, although Martos's videos can be entertaining he is in no possible way a legitimate philosopher, but a performance artist and a minor internet phenomeon. His "philosophy" stucks on a level of drinking wine and eating trash. --Ebroniter (talk) 21:03, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

This is not a joke — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.82.129.217 (talk) 21:33, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

"Bartos has some devoted cult following in Hungary"?[edit]

I live in Hungary, but I never heard of him.Mazarin07 (talk) 12:06, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

looks like a put up job[edit]

plenty more valid wikipedia articles than a 30 year old semi vagrant self professed philosopher take gene palma for instance the vagrant drummer of taxi driver existed in times square for many years was in film -- no article about him. this is a hippy addition semi nobodies. who is this person — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.141.16.159 (talk) 18:33, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

BEWARE: Indeed a joke, yes![edit]

I'm Hungarian, and first read about Bartos some 5-7 (or perhaps more) years ago on his old website (long gone). I'm about astonished to find someone wrote such a thorough and finely polished Wikipedia article of him. Adds to the controversion that no Hungarian version seems to exist... (Looks like someone is trying to "invest" into Bartos in order to exploit the media wave around him. Note: the only real reference to the Wikipedia article is here: http://bartosizmus.blogspot.com/)

Let's make it very clear: this guy (Bartos) is really seriously troubled, and he is certainly not a "philosopher", and many of us would have a tough time calling him a poet either.

He is a strange mix of madness (in the clinical sense, see e.g. megalomaniac egotism, pica eating disorder), witted mind with great creativity, extreme uninhibitedness, obsessive misanthropy (declaring himself the greatest follower of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot etc.) and a special, "media-friendly" ugly look. He is Hungary's contributor to the usual meme game, the International Hall of Freaks Fame.

So, hate to say, but despite what the excellently crafted article suggests -- it is indeed a joke. Or a grandiose misunderstanding...

He may have fans, supporters, even a cult following (show me a fucked-up idea without instant devotees!), he may be highly entertaining (rather: shocking), ha may indeed have genuine ideas and a very unique style, he may (does) declare himself the sole source of anything true and ingenious, but all that together still does not make him a philosopher or a poet.

On the other hand, he is not just another funny freak either. He is somehow more than that, with no clear concept of how exactly. Let's just agree him calling it "Bartosism". Whether it's a real "teaching" that somehow still makes sense after all, or just the name of a symptom he represents, remains to be seen...

This is written like an advertisement. A hipster-ish advertisement, but an advertisement. 206.192.68.114 (talk) 00:26, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Communist joke?[edit]

Is this guy even real?

Reading through this garbled mess of broken English I get no indication that this man is notable in any way, just some communist nut.

Shouldn't this article be deleted?
