Bombay Calling: A similar song 'Bombay Calling' appears on the 1970 album 'Up and Down' by the Oakland band 'Little John,' credited solely to its sax player Vince Wallace - on "It's A Beautiful Day' the song is credited to both Wallace and David LaFlamme MarcoSchuffelen (talk) 00:42, 3 December 2011 (UTC) Marco Sch[reply]

Sleeves[edit]

I saw this LP with different cover many times (with an beach umbrella, ice drink with straw on a table, sunbed and sails on water in the background). Does anyone knows the story of different covers and if the pressings were the same? Anka Świteź (talk) 09:20, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Production Credit[edit]

Matthew Katz did NOT produce this album, David LaFlamme did. Proper production accreditation can be seen on the back of the original album that was released by Columbia Records in 1969, to wit:

> PRODUCER: David Laflamme | ENGINEER: Brian Ross-Myring

Quote from David LaFlamme from an interview done by John Barthel on February 19, 1998 (from the now defunct roadhogs.net website formerly managed by IABD member Toby Gray):
That’s why we proceeded doing the album with Columbia, which of course I produced. He [Katz] had nothing to do with it whatsoever, or any of the other records. I tell people the man never wrote, arranged or produced anything in connection with "It’s a Beautiful Day" other than the song "Love For You" which he put on that compilation of groups on his first release "San Francisco Sound."
