Ivica Matković with OFK Beograd, season 1968/69 - just a case of homonymy[edit]

It is true that in season 1968/69 a player named Ivica Matković, also a striker, has played with OFK Beograd Belgrade. However, this Ivica Matković was born in Split and he came form Hajduk's academy. While he was indeed very young when he made a debut (with Hajduk) in Yugoslav First League (18.April 1971 - home win 3:1 against Dinamo Zagreb; thus - at age 17 years and 5 months), had he played with OFK at age 15 (as much as 17 games, that is 50%!), he would have been a Maradona and all the World would have learned about him!
