I wonder is he of slav origin? 'plotnick' means 'carpenter' in Russian. 195.113.149.177 (talk) 05:34, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace[edit]

This article notes both Columbus, Ohio and Worthington, Ohio as birthplaces. Please clarify. Rwalker (talk) 20:53, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

I think what's in the article so far warrants only the category of American drag queens for his role in Girls will be girls, but only marginally. I mean, Dustin Hoffman has been in Tootsie and Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire, and still you don't put them in the same category, right? Hence, I'd ask for a source or two to be incorporated that would give the category a firmer standing. But as for the category of Gay actors, there's no source in the article whatsoever so far. Finally, I'm not quite sure what the category of LGBT entertainers from the United States does particularly stand for with Plotnick: Is it T for Transvestite, or G for Gay? After all, many people still don't seem to make much of a difference between tranvestites, transsexuals, and intersexuals. --79.242.222.168 (talk) 02:49, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Check out this pdf of his book, which can be found on his website. Page 63 includes his advice, as a gay man, to other gay actors. I assume this is a reliable enough source to re-add the category? AilinaHavalii (talk) 21:50, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
